Top daily self-care routine every black woman needs

There’s been a  lot of buzz about self-care. Not many black women or women in general know exactly what selfcare means. You can check out my recent post What is Self-care and How Can It Benefit You? . This post gives a breakdown on self-care entails.

In this post I will share some tips I normally use for my daily self-care routine. As a black woman myself I feel most times we need to lay back, breathe and take care of our body, mind and soul.

Find a great therapist. If you’re on a budget you can use other affordable formal and informal mental health services. Talking to a therapist doesn’t mean something is wrong with you – but it provides a medium to just talk to someone about everything that’s going on with you. This could be your fears, weakness etc. You could read mental health books online, watch videos – if your religious have a quality time with God, tell Him about everything going on with you. He always listens.

Laugh at least once a day -Aim to belly laugh. Identify things that make you laugh and shamelessly pursue it. You could watch comedy shows, movies – just anything as far as you laugh your stress and worries away.
